| It is not all play and games, there's work that needs to be done around the house. Beside their daily chores, Andrew and Saara gave me a hand at painting over our dog house. |

| While the paint was drying, the kids found a bird's nest with two eggs in it. One of them was a dud. I asked the kids what materials the bird had used to build the nest. Besides the twigs and straws, etc. they were surprised to see the inside was padded with our dog's hair. |

| Andrew had been asking me to teach him how to play chess. We started by memorizing the names of the different pieces and how they move on the board. I also found a simple computer game to help him see how chess is played. In the coming week we will dig out our own chess set and play against each other. :) |

| The kids have been in the pool every single day. So much that Saara's blond hair has started to turn green again from the chlorine water.
