'13/14 Week 32 Day 3

And again, we had a day full of balloon fun. It is amazing how several different sources talk about balloons for the second day in row. Andrew's science class, Saara's science class, Andrew's reading comprehension, and, of course, Saara's "Oz" all revolve around either helium or hot-air balloons or both. 
At the end of Saara's "Oz" reading, we launched our own green balloon. Ours was filled with helium and did not rely on hot air like the wizard's. It was a lot of fun though. 

At the very end of the school day, the kids and I went dewberry picking again. We brought home a lot of berries. Also, our garden is beginning to yield some fruit. Andrew and Saara got to taste first tomatoes!

Just a bite, but it was good. Hopefully, we have lots more coming.

It was exciting to be able to make a cobbler out of our own dewberries.
