Today was a living proof that not everything and not always goes the way I have planned.
First, Dad was not supposed to be home this morning. But this did not really derail us at all. We actually liked him being around and the kids enjoyed running outside during their recess to see what Dad was up to. So, we got quite a bit of school work done until ...
Until Dad came inside and announced there was about a 2-foot alligator in our pond! There went the school day. :o)
Nothing could beat that exciting piece of news, not even the science movie nor art class that got postponed till tomorrow. Alligators do not pop out in our pond, ever.
So, we spent the rest of the morning outside.
Now, early afternoon, our pond is safe once more. Happy Labor Day!
